We are currently working with one of the UK’s leading contractors to secure an additional Site Manager to join their team working on a major scheme in Kent.
You will be responsible for managing the works on site to ensure the project is completed safely, profitably and on time. The Site Manager will communicate with the sub-contractors ensuring project requirements are met, review site wastage, and review and manage H&S procedures.
Ideal candidates will have experience of working at a Site Manager level with specific experience of external façades, with strong time management skills and strong negotiation skills. A demonstrable of large, high rise projects is advantageous.
Applicants need to be able to demonstrate experience in delivering construction projects of over £10m in value as part of an on-site team, reporting to the Project Manager and managing the sub-contractors for the Site Manager’s designated sections of work. The Site Manager will be responsible for the delivery on time, defect free and to budget of their designated sections of work. You’ll be holding, attending and chairing sub-contract meetings for their designated sections of work and producing internal reports to the Project Manager.
If you are able to demonstrate good managerial skills and possess the necessary ambition you will have the opportunity to progress to Project Manager level. When applying for this role you should state if your particular skills and preferences are in groundworks and external works or frame and facades or internal fit-out and finishes.
Candidates should possess valid CSCS, First Aid and SMSTS as a minimum and be able to demonstrate at least five years’ experience in a similar role with a UK based contractor or developer working on High Rise Mixed Use schemes.
This position is offering a salary of up to £58,000 plus benefits.
