Assistant Estimator – London

We are currently working with a leading residential developer, operating in London and the surrounding area, who are looking for an Assistant Estimator to join their existing development team.  
Our client is an Industry leading residential developer who specialises in building high quality large scale apartment buildings. They are a financially stable company with a strong pipeline of work over the coming years.  

Your role will entail:
•    Providing cost advice to assist in the purchase of new developments. 
•    Utilizing estimating software and tools to perform quantity takeoffs and cost analysis.
•    Getting quotes from suppliers and contractors within a specified time frame 
•    Assessing the risk levels associated with a project 
•    Preparing and submitting quotations and details of costs for new projects 
•    Assisting with bids for new sites and supporting the activities of the land buying team
•    Analyse project drawings, specifications, and other documentation to understand project requirements and scope

Qualifications and Skills 
•    Degree level qualification or equivalent (preferred) 
•    Previous experience in estimating or quantity surveying
•    Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet and the estimating software Take Off
•    The ability to effectively multitask and prioritise
•    understanding of the residential construction process
•    Excellent verbal and written communication and strong analytical and mathematical skills with attention to detail.
