Role Overview:
The Senior Technical Manager will oversee all technical and design aspects of residential development projects, ensuring that traditional build houses and RC frame apartment complexes are delivered to the highest standards. This role involves managing technical teams, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, overseeing multiple sites, and ensuring that all designs meet regulatory requirements and project specifications. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in residential development and a strong understanding of both traditional and modern construction methods.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Leadership & Strategy: Lead and manage the technical team, providing guidance and support to ensure all technical and design deliverables are met on time and to the highest standards. Develop and implement technical strategies that align with the company’s vision and project goals, ensuring efficient and effective project delivery.
- Design Coordination & Management: Oversee the coordination of architectural and engineering designs, ensuring that traditional build houses and RC frame apartment complexes meet design intent and client expectations. Work closely with designers, consultants, and subcontractors to resolve any design issues and drive innovation in construction methods.
- Regulatory Compliance & Planning: Ensure that all technical designs comply with building regulations, planning consents, and industry standards. Manage the preparation and submission of technical documents and drawings for planning and building control approvals, liaising with local authorities as necessary.
- Project Management & Delivery: Support the project management team in developing project programs, sequencing, and construction methodologies. Ensure technical aspects are fully integrated into project planning, and assist in managing site activities to ensure smooth execution of technical designs.
- Quality Control & Assurance: Implement and monitor robust quality assurance processes to ensure that all construction works, whether traditional build or RC frame, are carried out to the highest standards. Conduct regular site inspections and audits, addressing any technical non-conformities swiftly and professionally.
- Stakeholder Management & Communication: Act as the primary technical liaison for clients, consultants, and contractors, ensuring clear communication and alignment throughout the project lifecycle. Facilitate technical meetings and workshops to resolve complex design and construction issues.
- Risk Management & Problem Solving: Identify and assess potential technical risks associated with both traditional and RC frame construction methods. Develop and implement mitigation strategies to address these risks, ensuring project continuity and minimizing impact on timelines and budgets.
