Potensis are currently working with a leading Mixed-use Developer based in Kent who are looking to employ a Senior Technical Coordinator to work in a technical team within a new, growing region and oversee a brand-new development as part of a joint partnership with a housing association. The business is focused on reducing housing and apartment-based projects across London and the south east, and has developed an enviable reputation for delivering high-quality developments, winning several industry design awards in the process.


Responsibilities will include:


The role will involve managing a team of external consultants to ensure they deliver satisfactory architectural drawings and engineering packages on time and to the agreed brief. You will also provide support to the project and technical teams in the co-ordination and design for each project.


Additional responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to the Technical Manager from inception to completion.
  • Coordinate the Technical and design processes, teams and subcontractors during detailed design and construction. Ensure delivery on time and in budget.
  • Assist Technical Manager with reviews of consultants, detailed design and subcontractor designs.
  • Coordinate the consultants and their work to a high standard.
  • Ensure the designs comply with Company’s standards.
  • Promote designs that respect the budgetary constraints.
  • Monitor the subcontractor design approvals and keep updated schedule in line with the build programme.
  • Manage the flow of information to the different departments.
  • Assist Technical Manager in pre-construction phase plan.
  • Coordinate all monthly Technical schedules and reports.
  • Attend site meetings and the monthly/weekly project meetings.
  • Main technical contact during the construction.
  • Assist with obtaining technical approvals and section agreements.
  • Help in training Technical Coordinators and Technical Administrators.


Candidates should have experience as a Technical Coordinator, gained within a residential developer. They should also have previous experience working on large developments of over 200 homes including a mix of housing apartments and high-rise flats.
