During your training period you will take part in:

  • One on one coaching sessions
  • Research Projects
  • Boardroom training sessions
  • Follow up training activities
  • On the phone training sessions
  • Sales training with senior management.

What is the life of a recruitment consultant:

From day one you will be conducting a lot of the day to day duties of a Recruitment Consultant which will be integrated into your training. You will be fully responsible for your own time management, candidate generation and performance on targets and the following responsibilities will fall under your job title:

  • Market research to identify skill short areas
  • Arranging interviews
  • Interview preparation for candidates
  • Be prepared to spend up to 80-90% of your day on the phone
  • Be prepared to go the extra mile, the hours can be long in recruitment at times.

Salary, Package & Details:

As a full Recruitment Consultant, Potensis offer uncapped commission with average earnings in the first year following training of £30- £45k per year, second years average £60k OTE and third year consultants earn anything from £90k OTE upwards. Initially you will begin as a Resourcing Consultant with a starting salary of £25k, upon completion of the full training program (which takes a period of 6 to 9 months in total) you will be able to start earning commission.

Our Ideal Trainee Recruitment Consultant:

Communication – Clear and precise communication is a must in recruitment.  The ability to build rapport with both clients and candidates is a must.

Self-Analytical –   Self assessment and performance assessment are key in recruitment.  You must be able to assess your areas for improvement and work on these in order to develop as a consultant.

Resilience – Recruitment is a tough job! There is a lot of rejection and setbacks; you need resilience to get you through the inevitable tough times.

Attitude – You need to be motivated and driven individual. Recruitment can be tough and requires someone who can go the extra mile.

High Achievers – Demonstration of personal successes is key.  This can be from any aspect of your life, but Recruitment is ideal for someone who exceeds their targets, be it academically, sporting achievements or personal goals.

Competitive – You must have the appetite to outperform your peers and competitors. A hunger for success with an ambition to succeed are key traits of top billing consultants.
