Role Overview:
As a Technical Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing all technical aspects of high-end residential development projects. From initial design stages through to construction completion, you will ensure that projects are delivered to the highest standards. This position requires a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and experience in managing complex, high-specification developments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Design Coordination: Lead the coordination of technical designs across all phases of the project, ensuring that design intent is translated into practical, buildable solutions. Collaborate with architects, engineers, and consultants to resolve technical issues and drive design excellence.
- Technical Review & Compliance: Conduct thorough reviews of technical drawings, specifications, and plans to ensure compliance with building regulations, planning conditions, and industry standards. Identify and address any potential design or construction issues before they impact project delivery.
- Project Management Support: Provide technical expertise to support the project management team, assisting with program development, sequencing, and construction methodologies. Ensure technical aspects align with project timelines and client expectations.
- Risk Management & Problem Solving: Identify potential technical risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize their impact on project delivery. Lead problem-solving initiatives, ensuring that any technical challenges are addressed promptly and effectively.
- Stakeholder Liaison: Act as the primary technical point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and consultants. Communicate complex technical information clearly and effectively to ensure all parties are aligned and informed.
- Quality Assurance: Implement and monitor robust quality assurance procedures to ensure that construction works are executed to the highest standards. Carry out regular site inspections and audits, addressing any non-conformities swiftly and professionally.
