Technical Administrator – Residential Developer

About the Role:

Our client, a well-established leader in the residential construction industry, is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Technical Administrator to support their technical team in delivering high-quality housing developments. This role is integral to ensuring that all technical documentation, drawings, and project information is accurately managed and organized, supporting the efficient execution of construction projects from concept through to completion.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Document Management: Handle the organization, distribution, and maintenance of all technical documents, drawings, and project specifications to ensure smooth accessibility and accurate version control.
  • Database Management: Maintain and update databases with the latest project and technical information, ensuring all team members have access to current data.
  • Team Support: Provide administrative support to the technical team, assisting with scheduling, meeting coordination, minute-taking, and follow-up on action points as needed.
  • Communication: Serve as a key point of contact between the technical team and other departments, external stakeholders, and suppliers to facilitate efficient project coordination.
  • Quality Control: Ensure all technical documents meet company and industry standards before distribution, highlighting and addressing any inconsistencies.
  • File Preparation: Prepare and submit required files, reports, and paperwork to regulatory bodies and local authorities as per project requirements.
  • System Improvements: Support the team in identifying and implementing improvements to document management systems and workflows.

 

Requirements:

  • Experience: Proven experience in an administrative role, ideally within the construction or property development industry.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with document management systems. Knowledge of Asite or similar software is a plus.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong attention to detail with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to facilitate coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving Abilities: A proactive approach to identifying issues and implementing solutions to ensure efficient project administration.
