Role Overview:
The Project Surveyor will be responsible for managing the commercial and financial aspects of high-end construction projects. This role involves overseeing project costs, budgets, and contracts to ensure successful project delivery within financial constraints. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with high-value projects and a strong understanding of the luxury construction market.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cost Management & Reporting: Develop and maintain comprehensive project budgets and financial forecasts, ensuring accurate and timely reporting to stakeholders. Monitor ongoing project costs, implementing controls to manage any variances and maintain budgetary discipline throughout the project lifecycle.
- Contract Administration: Manage all contractual aspects of the project, including drafting, negotiating, and finalizing contracts with subcontractors and suppliers. Ensure compliance with contractual terms and conditions, and handle any disputes or variations in a timely and professional manner.
- Procurement: Lead the procurement process, ensuring that all subcontractors and suppliers are sourced in line with project requirements and company standards. Conduct negotiations to secure the best terms, quality, and value, while maintaining strong working relationships with all parties.
- Stakeholder Communication: Act as the main point of contact for clients, architects, and consultants, ensuring clear and effective communication throughout the project. Provide regular updates on project financial performance, addressing any concerns and aligning expectations with project progress.
- Project Coordination: Collaborate closely with the project team to ensure that all commercial and financial aspects align with the project’s delivery schedule. Support project planning and scheduling activities, providing valuable commercial insights to aid in decision-making and project execution.
