Position Overview:
Potensis Selection is proud to present an opportunity to work for a leading housebuilder committed to creating high-quality, sustainable communities, who are seeking an experienced and dynamic Land Manager to join their team. This role is pivotal in driving their land acquisition and development strategies to ensure the successful delivery of our ambitious growth plans.
Key Responsibilities:
•    Identify and secure strategic land opportunities that align with the company's business objectives and conduct thorough site evaluations, including financial appraisals, planning assessments, and risk analyses.
•    Negotiate land purchases, ensuring optimal terms and conditions that maximize profitability and successfully get sites into contract, demonstrating a strong ability to close deals efficiently.
•    Build and maintain strong relationships with landowners, agents, local authorities, and other stakeholders.
•    Oversee the development process from site acquisition through to planning consent, ensuring compliance with local planning regulations and policies.
•    Work closely with internal and external teams, including architects, planners, engineers, and legal advisors, to ensure the successful progression of development projects.
•    Mentor and manage a team of land and development professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture. Provide guidance and support to team members, ensuring their professional growth and development.
Key Competencies:
•    Negotiation Skills: Ability to negotiate favourable terms for land acquisition and secure contracts efficiently.
•    Analytical Thinking: Strong analytical skills to assess site potential, financial viability, and development risks.
•    Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with stakeholders and present findings to senior management.
•    Market Awareness: Up-to-date knowledge of market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to inform strategic decisions.
