Land Graduate – Residential Developer

As a Land Graduate, you will play a key role in supporting the Land Team with identifying, assessing, and acquiring land for residential development. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience and develop the skills needed to build a career in the property development sector. You will work closely with experienced land professionals, learning the full land acquisition process from site identification through to project completion.
This graduate role is designed to offer structured training, mentoring, and exposure to various aspects of the land and planning process, helping you to grow into a future land professional.
Key Responsibilities
- Land Identification & Research:
Assist in the identification of potential land acquisition opportunities by conducting market research, site visits, and liaising with external agents, landowners, and local authorities.
- Due Diligence:
Support the land team in undertaking due diligence, including site analysis, feasibility studies, planning constraints, legal considerations, and financial appraisals.
- Planning and Development:
Assist in preparing and submitting planning applications and work with the internal planning team to assess the viability of developments in line with local planning policies.
- Relationship Management:
Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including landowners, local authorities, agents, and consultants, to facilitate land acquisition and development opportunities.
- Reporting & Analysis:
Prepare reports and presentations for senior management on land opportunities, market trends, and project progress.
- Financial Modelling:
Assist in preparing financial models and appraisals to evaluate the commercial viability of prospective sites.
- Project Support:
Work alongside the development team to support the delivery of residential schemes, ensuring alignment between land acquisition and overall business objectives.
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong interest in property development, urban planning, or real estate.
- Excellent research and analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Good commercial awareness and understanding of financial appraisals.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and eager to learn.
- Driving license
Qualifications
- A degree in a relevant discipline,
- Any relevant work experience or internships in the property or development sector would be an advantage.
