Engineering Manager – Residential Developer
Oxford / Maidenhead
Potensis Selection is working with a market leading residential developer who are seeking to attract an Engineering Manager to join their offices in Maidenhead.
The Engineering Manager will be working alongside the Head of Engineering and oversee the engineering function within the technical team. This role requires the Engineering Manager to ensure that all engineering information is made available to the Production team and other Departments in line with the build programme.
Key Responsibilities:
- Visit potential new sites with the Land team and review technical information provided
- Work with the services co-ordinator to procure utility packages for the projects
- Involvement within Section Agreements (s38, s278, s184, s104, s102, s106 etc.)
- Agree the extent of adoptable areas, drainage internally and liaise with any Local Authorities or Sewage specialists
- Prepare a foundation review with the geotechnical and structural engineers to establish foundation options for each development
Specific Requirements:
- Excellent knowledge of residential construction in particular traditional and reinforced concrete frame housing
- A working knowledge of Building Regulations, British Standards, Euro Codes, NHBC and any associated legislation
- To have great interpersonal communication and management skills
- ONC/HND Degree Qualification in Civil Engineering or any other equivalent engineering-based qualifications
- No Formal AutoCAD qualification is required. Candidates however should be capable of interrogating AutoCAD drawings prepared by others and to be able to prepare simple drawings
