Planner – Residential Developer

Potensis Selection is proud to present an opportunity to work for a leading housebuilder committed to creating high-quality, sustainable communities, who are seeking an experienced and dynamic Assistant Planning Manager to join their team. As a Planner you will be responsible for managing the planning and scheduling of luxury residential projects from inception through completion. You will collaborate closely with design teams, project managers, contractors, and local authorities to ensure timely delivery of projects, meeting all regulatory and planning requirements. The role requires excellent organizational skills, a deep understanding of planning policies, and the ability to navigate complex approval processes for premium residential developments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, manage, and update detailed project schedules, ensuring alignment with the overall development timeline.
  • Liaise with local planning authorities, consultants, and other stakeholders to secure necessary planning permissions.
  • Conduct risk assessments and propose mitigation strategies to ensure project timelines are met.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, identifying potential delays and adjusting schedules accordingly.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and contractors to ensure compliance with planning conditions and regulations.
  • Support the acquisition and feasibility phases by advising on planning constraints and opportunities.
  • Stay updated on local planning policies, zoning laws, and industry trends.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Planner in residential construction, with a focus on luxury or high-end developments.
  • Strong understanding of planning regulations, building codes, and zoning laws.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in planning software such as Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar.
  • Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
