Development Manager – Residential Developer – Birmingham - £70,000 + package


 We are currently working with a leading award-winning residential developer who are looking for a Development Manager to join their growing team.


 Reporting to the Development Director, you will be responsible for leading the development and project teams from acquisition directly through the planning process, to the point it can be handed to the in-house delivery teams.


Crucial Responsibilities include:


  • Liaising with other parties to form joint venture agreements after the acquisition of a new site is completed. You will be responsible for managing the relationship between your employer and the joint venture partner.


  • Heavily project management-based role. You will be required to manage the sites through to planning, appointing external planning consultants and managing the planning applications.


  • Devise & implement strategies for enhancing third party/neighbour/community relationships.


  • Manage the integration of affordable housing strategy into emerging developments including the preparation of viability information.

  • Help to undertake financial appraisals in order to review and monitor financial viability. With this in mind, they are ideally looking for someone who is commercially astute and has a strong financial understanding of the development process.


  • Attend & ensure the company is represented at pre-application, post consultation & committee meetings with Local Authorities.



 The role would suit a Development Manager/Project Manager working for a mixed-use developer, main contractor or on a consultancy basis, who has experience working on developments within the region.
