Estimator- Residential Developer

The client:

A residential developer, renowned not only for there high standard of developments and customer satisfaction, but also their enjoyable work culture. Primarily focusing on partnership developments, their already strong pipeline is secure within the market, and as a growing business they will keep purchasing land to continue on this path of growth.

About you:

They are looking for someone who has previously worked within the commercial department for a residential developer or contractor who builds residential. Ideally this person will have previous experience running their own project if coming from a senior position, or has a reasonable amount of longevity with other residential developers if coming from a position lest senior.

Responsibilities include:

• Assist the land acquisition teams with cost information at site appraisal stage
• Value engineering projects and driving best value for money.
• Input on technical/design matters at the pre-contract stage to ensure economic design and construction methods are followed
• Provide cost advice to the sales team
• Maintain the computerised library of costs, including materials, labour, plant, suppliers, sub-contractors and preliminaries. Contribute to and maintain performance data files.
• Prepare cost/value reconciliation and forecasting on individual contracts of actual costs to completion
• Prepare and issue budget/cost reconciliation/cost forecasting within agreed budget values
• Undertake site take off – Using company measuring software
