Assistant Estimator - Residential Developer

Potensis Selection are currently working with a leading residential developer, operating in London and the surrounding area, who are looking for an Assistant Estimator to join their existing development team.

Your role will entail:

• Providing cost advice to assist in the purchase of new developments
• Utilizing estimating software and tools to perform quantity takeoffs and cost analysis
• Getting quotes from suppliers and contractors within a specified time frame
• Assessing the risk levels associated with a project
• Preparing and submitting quotations and details of costs for new projects
• Assisting with bids for new sites and supporting the activities of the land buying team
• Analyse project drawings, specifications, and other documentation to understand project requirements and scope

Qualifications and Skills

• Previous experience in estimating or quantity surveying
• Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet and the estimating software Take Off
• The ability to effectively multitask and prioritise
• understanding of the residential construction process
• Excellent verbal and written communication and strong analytical and mathematical skills with attention to detail.
