Graduate Opportunities

One Scheme. Many Opportunities.

The Graduate Programme is designed for those graduates who would like to experience many different aspects of the Countryside business, allowing you to gather a detailed insight into each area and their respective responsibilities before deciding on a career path.

Countryside aim to provide their graduates with as much industry experience as possible over a two-year scheme. Everyone will have the opportunity to see the whole housebuilding process from start to finish by completing various rotations, of between 4 and 12 weeks, through each of their different divisions.

At the end of the programme, graduates with work together with their line managers and mentor to identify the areas of the business that they have enjoyed the most and have been most successful in, once they have identified an area that they want to pursue a career in, we will work with the appropriate department to facilitate your promotion into the desired role. The Northern Regions have a particular focus on Land & Planning, Development and Sales & Marketing this year.

Countryside encourage you to study for formal qualifications and will fully support your desire to become accredited. Most of their graduates study for their APC throughout the duration of their programme, and Countryside will able to support you to become RICS / RTPI / ICIOB accredited.

Liam d’Unienville, a graduate who recently celebrated his one-year anniversary at Countryside, said…

“One of the most appealing things about the Countryside graduate scheme was the flexibility to experience different departments. This helped enormously as, going into the job, I wasn’t sure in which aspect of housebuilding or construction I was most interested.”

Guy Balmford, is immersed within his programme and explains why…

“No day looks the same as a graduate at Countryside, the only guarantee is that you’ll be exposed to plenty of new things and we’re always guided along the way. At the moment, my week is usually split between Broadbridge Heath, in Sussex, Cambridge and Essex. My roles and responsibilities vary depending on what projects I am working on. On one project, I might be included in meetings to further my knowledge and other times, I might be leading a site visit with an ecologist to discuss numerous issues that need to be dealt with in order meet planning regulations.”
