We are currently working with one of the leading residential developers in Southern England to secure a Senior Land Manager. Reporting to the Land Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for the identification and acquisition of immediate and long term land opportunities for residential development to meet the region’s land requirements. Identifying sites through a network of local agents and landowners, the successful applicant will undertake initial appraisals of these assessing the local residential market, build costs, abnormal costs and planning gain contributions, leading to a formal valuation and offer to a landowner.
Possessing the knowledge and experience of all aspects of the immediate and strategic land acquisition process for residential development, along with a working knowledge of the planning system through to an implementable consent are essential. You should also be able to demonstrate a full understanding of the viability process and cash flows, along with being fully conversant with the legal processes associated with residential development. A strong contact base amongst lead professionals within Worcestershire, Gloucestershire, Somerset, Swindon and Bristol will be advantageous.
Individuals interested in this role must be able to demonstrate a proven track record of success in land acquisition within a major UK based residential developer along with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
On offer is a salary of up to £75,000 plus bonus and full benefits package.
