We are currently working with one of the UK’s most active residential developers to secure a Contracts Manager to work in their South West Region across Devon and Cornwall. Specialising in traditional build residential schemes, our Client has an enviable reputation for innovation and quality and regularly secures multiple NHBC and Nationwide industry awards.
Managing up to five Site Managers and their schemes at any one time and reporting to the Construction Director, applicants will have at least 5 years previous experience as a Contract Manager or above with a major UK based Residential Developer and have a proven track record in the delivery of volume schemes against tight deadlines and budgets whilst ensuring that quality standards are adhered to.
You will be involved through the various preparatory stages in planning and budgeting, overseeing the professional team and advising on a range of issues including structural concepts and variations and modifications to design. Duties will include: overall multi project construction management, pre-construction management, appoint, recruit and manage construction teams, audit suppliers and sub-contractors, programme management to ensure timely completion of projects, submit construction progress reports, ensure optimum health and safety records on site and ensure quality standards and customer expectations are met and exceeded. The successful applicant will be an accomplished man manager and be able to comfortably oversee multiple traditional build residential schemes of 50 – 1000 units.
Candidates will be able to demonstrate strong communication skills (both written and verbal) and be educated to at least HNC level. This vacancy is ideally suited for ambitious construction professionals that are looking for career development.
This position is offering a salary of up to £68,000 plus full package.
