Construction Planner

Location – Cholsey– Oxfordshire

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a leading mixed-use developer who are looking to attract and recruit a new Construction Planner to join their existing project team who concentrate on producing complex, apartment led developments.

Their preference is to attract someone who has experience of working on residential and mixed-use projects, is able to produce accurate, viable plans and can work with the onsite build teams, reviewing progress and helping to identify and mitigate any potential issues to ensure the project continues with pace.

In addition to the live projects, there would also be an involvement in upcoming projects that are at the early stages of preconstruction, working with the commercial and design teams to help identify early stage plans.

Responsibilities will include:

• Developing and communicating the optimum time line through all phases of the proposed project including planning, design, procurement, pre-construction, construction, commissioning, handover and occupation.

• Help prepare method statements, input into prelims and guidance on potential sequencing issues.

• Communicate the programme to the production team to ensure they understand the constraints, risks and issues and help to create buy in from them.

• Whilst the project is in progress, acquire consistent and accurate data from the onsite project team and subcontractor team in order to accurately assess progress against the programme.

• Regular progress update of the project programme to the business.

• Identify & monitor Key Dates.

• Advise the Project Manager of progress and associated issues including possible solutions.

• Candidates must have experience working for either a Residential Developer or for a main contractor where they have worked on residential mixed-use developments.
