Senior Site Manager – Reading, Berkshire

In line with the nationwide recovery we are witnessing in the residential development sector, we are currently recruiting for one of the UK’s best known residential developers for their residential scheme in Reading. As No 1 on site, the duties of the successful applicant will revolve around taking this new build site through from ground-works to final hand over and overseeing the two Assistant Site Managers.

The project has 3 years of construction remaining with a couple of hundred units left to build. The site is a traditional build project with 3 storey apartments and 3-5 bedroom houses.

Candidates must have at least 1 year experience in a similar role with a UK based residential developer delivering a high quality project against challenging deadlines and strict budget, must have experience on traditional build residential schemes, must have strong communication skills (both written and verbal) and must be competent with IT.

Required certificates include:

  • CSCS
  • SMSTS
  • First Aid certificate
  • Any other industry relevant qualifications

This position can offer:

£60,000.00 – £75,000 basic salary depending on level of experience
Annual bonus – 25% of salary
Car allowance of £5750 per annum

The person:

  • Excellent industry knowledge, developed within a high performing business
  • Rounded technical, commercial and financial expertise.

The role will be to oversee all construction activity. This is a board level role, reporting to the MD. All board reports, programming, recruitment, Health & Safety, site conduct etc will come under the Construction Director’s remit.
