Our client, who are one of the UK’s leading social housing contractors, are looking for a Project Manager for their new build development in West London. You will be overseeing all areas of the construction process on a £30 million RC frame development. It is essential that you have a proven track record of Project Managing large scale developments with a Main Contractor. Reporting to the Construction Director, you will be responsible for ensuring that the project runs to speed and programme and that health and safety measures are adhered to at all times. You will be also be responsible for managing a full site team of operational and commercial staff, as well as chairing meetings with client and sub-contractors. We are currently looking to appoint an experienced Site Manager to join one of the UK’s leading Contractors to run a Traditional Social Housing scheme consisting of 2, 3, 4 homes. Reporting to the Contracts Manager, it is essential the successful candidate brings with them a proven track record of working on Social Housing/H.A. residential schemes of at least 30 units, delivering a quality product against tight programs. Potensis are engaged with a Main Contractor to source a Project Quantity Surveyor to be based in Dartford, Kent

 

Due to recent work-winning successes, they now have a vacancy for a Project Quantity Surveyor to support key commercial aspects of their Dartford Primary School project, in Kent. The ideal candidate will have previous Education or EFA schools exposure, but this is not a prerequisite.

 

Role Overview:

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all costs relating to building and civil engineering projects. Your focus is to minimise the costs of a project and enhance value for money, whilst still achieving the required standards and quality.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Commercial & Contractual

  • Analysis of tender allowances
  • The measurement and valuation of works (on site and from drawings), for valuations, variations and final accounts.
  • Agreement of valuation dates and preparing, submitting and agreement of interim valuations in accordance with those dates.
  • Administering and/or advising on Main Contract and Subcontract conditions
  • Subcontract and Design Procurement
  • Subcontract payments, variations and final accounts
  • Submission of Cost Value Reconciliations
  • Preparation of cost to complete

Financial Reporting

  • Cash management and maximisation
  • Cash Flow and Turnover forecast
  • Provision of standard reports
  • Internal Valuations/CVRs and subcontract liability reports in accordance with schedule of accounting period end dates and deadlines

Experience and Qualifications:

  • You will have experience of working within the Construction industry for a main contractor, specifically on Design and Build; as well as sound knowledge of JCT and NEC Conditions of Contract.
  • You will have sound experience of working within the same, or similar role previous.
  • You will be degree qualified and member of the RICS or IOB (or moving towards professional membership).

Our client, who are one of the UK’s leading social housing refurbishment contractors are looking to recruit a Site Manager for their Fire Risk Assessment works in the North West London region. This will be working on a contract worth approximately £2.5 million and you will be overseeing FRA work covered by direct trade operatives and specialist sub-contractors. Reporting into a Project manager you will be responsible for ensuring that health & safety on site is adhered to at all times and that the project runs to speed and programme.

 

Day to day duties will cover –

 

  • Fire door works
  • Compartmentation works
  • Sprinkler systems
  • All associated works

 

You will have a proven track record of working with FRA works at Site Manager level and have up to date CSCS, SMSTS, 1st Aid and Asbestos awareness certification. You will also need the use of your own vehicle and petrol expenses will be paid for business use. This will be an immediate start for the selected candidate and this is a long term contract of 1 year+
